The Senior Regional Director of Operations is responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the designated resorts in their region through adherence to brand standards and effective leadership of all departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, select, orient, train, coach, counsel, and discipline managers to increase management's effectiveness.
  • Communicate values, strategies, and objectives to ensure a clear understanding of the company's vision.
  • Assign accountabilities, plan, monitor, and appraise job results to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Develop incentives to motivate employees and promote a positive work environment.
  • Resolve issues that cannot be handled by department heads/managers, including guest complaints and personnel issues.
  • Represent Capital Vacations with the highest level of personal and professional integrity and character.
  • Ensure all resorts within their region meet Capital Vacations and industry standards of excellence.
  • Prepare annual budgets consistent with the expectations set forth by the board of directors and Vice President of Operations.
  • Review monthly financial statements and make necessary operational changes to adhere to budgetary guidelines.
  • Review purchases made at the resort to ensure SOP adherence and budgetary guidelines.
  • Take effective action to control costs without sacrificing quality and service, including daily review of revenue and payroll reports from the resorts.
  • Monitor and improve guest service scores to ensure resorts achieve top rankings within their respective resort brands.
  • Develop long-term operational and reserve plans for resorts that support the overall objectives of the company.
  • Act as a primary liaison for General Managers, onsite team members, the board of directors, vendors, contractors, insurance agencies, and other site-specific contacts.
  • Conduct routine property visits to ensure brand standards and corporate compliance.
  • Supervise the establishing of BOD and Annual Owner meetings, including dates, times, and locations.
  • Supervise and coordinates to cause the completion of all resort-specific action list items, agenda, minutes, meeting notices, proxies, and ballot in preparations for all Board and Owner meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to all factors relating to safety and health, including timely completion of meetings, training, and pertinent documentation under company policy and the brand standards, as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Approve all mailings to the associations within the designated resorts in their region.
  • Become familiar with and operate within both Capital Vacations Policies & Procedures as well as the individual resort Controlling Documents (Declaration, Master Deed & Bylaws) and federal and state laws that may apply.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in timeshare or mixed-use resort operations.
