POSITION OVERVIEW


As a Lead Facilities Engineer within our Outpatient Medical division, you will play a crucial role in preserving and enhancing the quality of our healthcare properties.

Your responsibilities are essential in ensuring the efficient operation, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our outpatient medical facilities.

We are looking for a talented and committed professional who is enthusiastic about property upkeep and excels in a fast-paced, high-performance setting.

This position will oversee a collection of properties in the Seattle, WA, Tacoma, WA, and nearby regions. Welltower provides a competitive salary, annual performance bonus, mileage reimbursement, and additional benefits.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct service, diagnostics, and repairs of building systems, including HVAC, boilers, structural components, plumbing, electrical systems, and door mechanisms.


``` Carry out preventative maintenance tasks on building systems and components, including structural elements, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

``` Respond to tenant inquiries regarding lighting, plumbing, and other facility-related issues.

``` Provide insights to the Real Estate Manager regarding the maintenance and repair budget for the assigned properties.

``` Engage in all workplace safety training and adhere to all Welltower safety protocols, utilizing safety equipment as necessary. Identify and promptly address any unsafe conditions or hazards and propose solutions to eliminate or safeguard against them.

``` Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors as required. Oversee and/or assist in the execution of all preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections for the assigned building systems.

``` Ensure the accurate and timely completion of HVAC system testing, including but not limited to water treatment chemical assessments.

``` Support other departments within the company as needed.

``` Assist in addressing after-hours calls and emergency situations, performing necessary tasks to ensure the safety and protection of the property and its occupants.

``` May undertake additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Travel requirements related to essential functions (frequency, distance, purpose).
  • Must be available for on-call duties as needed. Must be able to travel to various site locations and supply houses. 5% of the time.

Work occurs both indoors and outdoors, in diverse weather conditions, with electricity, rotating machinery, heights, and various maintenance chemicals, such as paints, adhesives, solvents, and water treatments.
