About the Role:
Taylor Northeast is seeking an experienced Equipment Sales Manager to lead and grow our established forklift truck territory in the New England area. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing market strategies, attaining and maintaining a desired market position, and collaborating with branch management and accounting department regarding receivables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage equipment sales within our territory for new and used equipment and rentals
- Develop and execute market strategy
- Attain and maintain desired market position within the territory
- Identify, communicate, and work through customer problems, issues, and opportunities
- Collaborate with branch management and accounting department regarding receivables
- Deliver timely follow-up with customers, managers, and staff, making communication a top priority
- Provide reports to management
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' sales experience working in the industrial truck or material handling field
- Results-driven and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines and priorities
- Ability to work well under pressure and be well organized
- Solid negotiating capabilities and follow-up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with clients, employees, and industry professionals
- Able to manage expectations and work independently
