Job Title: Legal Liaison

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Liaison to join our team at the Kentucky Personnel Cabinet. As a key member of our department, you will provide critical support and guidance to our executive officer and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and review departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement contract templates and review non-template-based contracts for use by the Division of Procurement.
  • Assist the AOC Policy Officer in developing AOC policies pertaining to the department.
  • Train departmental personnel on laws and policies, and provide guidance on compliance issues.
  • Perform legal research and communicate with court officials, state agencies, and field personnel on behalf of the department.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited law school.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed attorney in good standing with the Kentucky Bar Association.
Working Conditions:

This role is primarily performed in an office setting, with intermittent or scheduled virtual work possible. Sitting for extended periods of time is required, with limited travel possible.
