Position Overview

Salary: $22/hour

Bascom Maple Farms Inc is seeking a dedicated Sales Team Assistant to collaborate with our dynamic sales department. If you excel at managing various responsibilities and flourish in a fast-paced environment, this role may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update promotional calendars as required.
  • Coordinate with brokers and sales managers to ensure the latest information is reflected on promotional calendars.
  • Organize and manage all pertinent documents for retailers, including contracts, schedules, and promotions.
  • Assist with the returns and deductions processes as necessary.
  • Generate sales reports as requested by sales management.
  • Support the management of new leads and existing accounts.
  • Engage regularly with brokers to foster relationships, provide product knowledge, and assist managers in monitoring broker sales performance.
  • Deliver product information and pricing to brokers, customers, and leads.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers; maintain regular communication with brokers and clients.
  • Follow up on current leads, create new opportunities, and finalize sales under the guidance of sales managers.
  • Disseminate information to corporate marketing and sales operations.
  • Complete new customer forms and collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new accounts.
  • Work alongside the sales team to deliver customer service and support.
  • Prepare displays and materials for industry trade shows.
  • Attend trade shows as needed to provide sales assistance.
  • Execute special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications:
  • Some college education in a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • 2-3 years of sales experience required; experience in the food distribution sector is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong proofreading abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work independently and interact professionally with vendors, employees, and customers. Creative thinking and the ability to communicate ideas effectively are essential.
