Position Summary- This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service within both call center and retail environments. Candidates should be adept at engaging with customers both face-to-face and over the phone, with an eye towards future leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding transit routes, products, passes, services, and upcoming initiatives.
  • Perform opening and closing tasks at the retail desk or call center, including cash handling, deposits, and reporting.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for guests at the transit center, offering up-to-date information on routes, products, passes, and services.
  • Guide guests on how to navigate the bus system and provide essential information as required.
  • Ensure the availability and proper display of route information, pass inventory, and promotional materials.
  • Support customer service projects and assist in executing surveys.
  • Receive and address customer feedback and complaints to ensure effective resolution and quality assurance.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company offerings, services, projects, and future plans.
  • Be open to a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities over time, such as managing daily sales transactions, generating monthly reports, processing purchase orders, and leading the customer service team.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or a related field is required.
  • Familiarity with mass transit systems, particularly local transit.
  • Bilingual or ASL skills are advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with coaching support.
  • Commitment to excellent attendance.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable with standing and sitting for extended periods and moving throughout the workday.
  • Flexible day shift hours with potential rotating weekend shifts.
  • Starting pay range: $14.00 to $15.00 hourly, based on experience, with competitive incentives available over time.
