Job Overview

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is in search of a Quality Assurance Leader to oversee quality operations within a manufacturing environment. This pivotal role involves the investigation, establishment, and implementation of standards for inspection and testing methodologies, equipment, and facilities in collaboration with the production and engineering teams.

Compensation: $78,000-$82,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a proactive leader in the development, administration, and enhancement of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities to ensure alignment with company quality objectives and timely delivery.
  • Gather, maintain, and present quality performance metrics to senior management.
  • Initiate and lead investigations and corrective actions in response to quality performance issues arising from internal, supplier, or customer sources.
  • Act as the primary management representative for customer quality interactions.
  • Support organizational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor Quality Assurance staff in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor daily production processes and collaborate with other departments to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Implement an 'In Process' inspection program across all production sectors, including machining, fabrication, and cleanroom operations.
  • Oversee and document testing protocols.
  • Assist engineering teams with the Product Work Instruction process.
  • Document all incoming and outgoing products with photographic evidence and dimensional data.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, quality management, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five years in quality assurance or quality control roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO-based quality systems and their management.
  • Experience in leading a manufacturing quality team.
  • Background in a manufacturing setting with specialized expertise in machined and fabricated products and assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, disciplines, and techniques essential for achieving operational excellence, including MRP, material and production control, and personnel management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of metrology.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, including proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the use of spreadsheets, word processing software, email, and database management.
