Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Administering Food Safety and quality assurance programs within production and storage areas.
  • Conducting quality assurance tests on products at various stages, including incoming, in-process, and outgoing.
  • Monitoring both internal and external environments to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Reviewing and managing quality-related documentation to maintain traceability and compliance.
  • Overseeing production processes to ensure adherence to food safety policies.
  • Performing regular inspections of assigned areas, evaluating production documents, and managing the release of qualified ingredients.
  • Entering test results into quality control spreadsheets and reporting findings accurately to ensure product integrity.
  • Notifying relevant parties of any quality or food safety deviations promptly.
  • Assisting in the development and enhancement of Food Safety & Quality programs for continuous improvement.
  • Utilizing various software tools, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, effectively.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Adapting to new responsibilities as needed and being available for overtime and weekend shifts when required.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications.
  • Strong data entry capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
  • A demonstrated history of strong attendance in previous roles.
  • HACCP certification or the ability to obtain it within three months of employment.
