About the Position

The Assistant Professor, Strategy and Innovation, will teach Management courses in undergraduate and graduate programs, conduct high-quality research, teach effectively, and positively contribute to the academic environment at George Mason University.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality research for publication in top-tier academic journals and teach Management courses in undergraduate and/or graduate programs;
  • The teaching load for this position is determined according to the College's workload policy;
  • Additional responsibilities include service to the Management Area, the Costello College of Business, the University, and the profession, such as journal reviewing/editing, academic division board leadership, student mentoring, committee membership, and interfacing with the business community.
Required Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in a related field;
  • PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline prior to the start date;
  • Experience teaching and willingness to teach at either the graduate or undergraduate level (including online);
  • Record of scholarly and professional accomplishments consistent with an appointment for the appropriate rank, including evidence of potential for publishing significant research in top-tier journals;
  • Evidence of potential to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels;
  • Evidence of significant published or 'in press' research in top-tier journals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in conducting qualitative and/or mixed-methods research;
  • Experience teaching PhD courses;
  • Evidence of good citizenship and the ability to work well with colleagues.
