Ecology Professor

About the Position:

The George Mason University College of Science is seeking a dynamic and innovative Professor of Ecology to join our team. As a term faculty position, this role will involve teaching introductory and upper-level ecology courses, coordinating the multi-section ecology course for Biology majors, and contributing to the department's commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate instruction.

Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate level courses and laboratories, including introductory and upper-level ecology courses.
• Coordinate the multi-section ecology course for Biology majors.
• Contribute to the department's commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate instruction.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline by July 15, 2024.
• Share the department's commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate instruction.
• Demonstrate excellence in teaching.
• Have the ability to collaborate with faculty and graduate students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A proven record of teaching excellence.
• Experience in a University setting.
• Experience coordinating Graduate teaching assistants.
