About the Position:

The Adjunct Applied Trombone Professor will teach individualized lessons, starting in August 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Applied Trombone
  • Provide leadership to Mason's Trombone Studio to include coordination of studio classes as well as on-campus and off-campus performances and events
  • Coordinate recruitment for the Trombone Studio
  • Coordinate recitals and juries for the Trombone Studio
  • Participate in Brass Area initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Music or equivalent professional experience required
  • Successful experience teaching at the college level
  • Desire to work with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds
  • Established reputation as a professional artist with a documented portfolio of live performances and recordings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Music
