About the Position:

The George Mason University Department of Biology is seeking a dynamic and innovative Professor of Ecology to teach introductory and upper-level ecology courses and coordinate the multi-section ecology course for Biology majors.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate level courses and laboratories and provide academic advising to students.

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline by July 15, 2024;
  • Commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate instruction;
  • Excellence in teaching;
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty and graduate students.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven record of teaching excellence;
  • Experience in a university setting;
  • Experience coordinating graduate teaching assistants.
