AV Design Consultant

At LVI Associates, we are seeking a talented AV Design Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and specifying AV systems that meet the needs of our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their AV needs and translate them into detailed design specifications.
  • Create and develop AV system designs, including schematic drawings, signal flow diagrams, and equipment lists.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support during the proposal and bidding process.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and best practices, as well as client-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to oversee the implementation of AV designs, ensuring that installations meet design intent.
  • Conduct site surveys and work with clients to refine designs based on site-specific conditions.
  • Stay current with emerging AV technologies and trends to provide innovative solutions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in AV design, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of AV systems, including video conferencing, digital signage, sound systems, and integrated control systems.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of AV signal flow, acoustics, and system integration.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with industry standards and protocols (e.g., AVIXA, CEDIA).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS-D, CTS-I) are highly desirable.
