Patient Safety Coordinator

Position Overview:
The Patient Safety Manager (PSM) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for executing key responsibilities that showcase leadership, meticulous planning, and professional communication. This role requires innovative approaches to enhance patient safety and healthcare program development, alongside the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver professional presentations through various mediums.
Key Responsibilities:
The RN PSM will oversee the daily operations and execution of the Patient Safety Program. This includes collaborating closely with various teams focused on Patient Safety, High Reliability, Innovations, and System Redesign. The PSM will engage in both short and long-term planning efforts, ensuring compliance with directives and preparing necessary planning documents.
The incumbent will provide essential technical expertise in healthcare planning and offer comprehensive advice to management regarding potential revisions to regulations and policies related to patient safety activities. This role is crucial in promoting a culture of safety within the healthcare setting.
Essential Functions:
1. Coordinate and implement the Patient Safety Program.
2. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety initiatives.
3. Monitor and analyze changes in healthcare regulations and technological advancements to adapt work methods accordingly.
4. Serve as a consultant for Patient Safety policies and activities.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted nursing license from any U.S. state or territory. A degree from an accredited nursing program is required, along with proficiency in English. Experience in quality strategies, data collection, and staff development from a patient safety perspective is preferred.
