We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Registration Supervisor to join our team at Optum. As a Patient Registration Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our central registration department.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the central registration department to ensure timely and accurate processing of patient information.
- Assist the Manager of Patient Access as needed to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement plans to meet short and long-term departmental needs and objectives.
- Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise, and judgment.
- Act as the primary liaison with supervisors in other areas of the business to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 2+ years of in-person healthcare customer service experience.
- 1+ years of experience working as a supervisor/manager in healthcare.
- Healthcare insurance benefits experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
- Experience with medical or health terminology.
- Previous experience in sales or collections.
