About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Registration Supervisor to join our team at Optum. As a Patient Registration Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our central registration department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the central registration department to ensure timely and accurate processing of patient information.
  • Assist the Manager of Patient Access as needed to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement plans to meet short and long-term departmental needs and objectives.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise, and judgment.
  • Act as the primary liaison with supervisors in other areas of the business to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 2+ years of in-person healthcare customer service experience.
  • 1+ years of experience working as a supervisor/manager in healthcare.
  • Healthcare insurance benefits experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, including rotating weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with medical or health terminology.
  • Previous experience in sales or collections.
