As a key player in our organization, you will be instrumental in managing our event services and catering operations, ensuring that every event is executed flawlessly.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director of Event Services, your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Proactively seek and secure catering contracts in various sectors, including social events, cultural gatherings, corporate functions, and holiday celebrations.
  • Engage with clients to finalize all event details, including banquet event orders, menu selections, and event timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of essential documentation, forecasts, and reports to monitor departmental performance.
  • Allocate appropriate venues for diverse functions such as meetings and dining experiences.
  • Develop a targeted outreach strategy to attract new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with your team to achieve budgetary objectives.
  • Adhere to the established protocols within the Event Services Department.

Schedule appointments and conduct personal sales visits with key contacts in the local catering market.

Participate in weekly sales meetings to review past performance and outline future outreach plans.

Monitor leads that convert into bookings and generate a monthly report detailing the number of leads, conversion rates, catering revenue, and associated room nights and revenue, if applicable.

Manage assigned bookings as directed by the Director of Event Services.

Compensation:
Salary range is $85,000-$114,000 USD annually.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a leadership role within a similar environment is essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications is required.
A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities are a must.
Demonstrated reliability and responsibility are crucial.
Ability to maintain composure and courtesy while focusing on guest needs is essential.
Knowledge of food and beverage service and preparation, including cultural considerations, is important.
Understanding of food and labor cost management is required.
Ability to engage with a diverse clientele effectively is essential.
