Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director of Event Services, the following responsibilities and essential functions are expected:
  • Proactively seek and secure catering opportunities across various sectors: Social, Cultural, Local Corporate, and Holiday events.
  • Engage with clients to finalize arrangements, including banquet event orders, menu tastings, and event resumes.
  • Assist in the completion of necessary documentation, forecasts, and tracking essential for departmental progress.
  • Designate appropriate venues for diverse functions (meetings, food and beverage services, etc.).
  • Create a targeted list of sources to attract new business.
  • Collaborate as a team to achieve budgetary objectives.
  • Adhere to the guidelines established within the Event Services Department.

Schedule appointments and conduct personal sales visits with key contacts in the local catering sector.

Participate in weekly sales meetings to report on previous efforts and outline future outreach plans.

Monitor leads that convert into bookings and compile a monthly report detailing the number of leads generated, converted bookings, catering revenue produced, and any associated room nights and revenue.

Manage bookings as assigned by the Director of Event Services.

Compensation: Salary range is $85,000-$114,000 USD annually.


Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a comparable role is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications is required.
  • A degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities are crucial.
  • Must be highly responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to maintain focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service and preparation, including cultural considerations.
  • Understanding of food and labor cost management.
  • Adept at recognizing how diverse individuals respond to various stimuli.
