Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and nurture a portfolio of clients
  • Oversee agency partnerships and act as the primary contact for clients
  • Design and implement marketing strategies to boost both new and renewal business
  • Evaluate and provide quotes for risks to assess acceptability, coverage, and pricing for complex renewals and new accounts
  • Prepare and present underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and management
  • Track essential metrics to identify corrective measures affecting new business acquisition, renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratios
  • Guide, mentor, and enhance the skills of Assistant and Associate Brokers
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 3 years in underwriting or brokerage, with a preference for excess and surplus lines experience
  • Proven expertise in sales and marketing
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional growth
  • Preferred insurance license, CPCU, CIC, or similar credentials
