Position Overview:

The Loan Administration Specialist is responsible for the onboarding and management of affordable housing and community facility loans utilizing a sophisticated loan servicing software platform.

This role also entails providing technical guidance and support to both internal and external stakeholders, actively addressing challenges and ensuring prompt service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:
Input loan information into the servicing software; verify the precision of loan data.
Generate loan amortization schedules within the servicing system after closing.

Execute a range of loan transactions, including processing payments, preparing and executing payoffs, calculating and managing escrow transactions, facilitating loan disbursements, and handling various transfers.

Oversee and manage payment requests associated with property taxes, insurance, and repair and replacement reserves for the loan portfolio, ensuring proper monitoring and processing of these payments.

Act as the primary contact for borrower communications by preparing direct billing, addressing incoming inquiries through all communication channels, and generating and distributing annual loan documentation.

Conduct monthly balance transfers of commercial lending products to the finance department.

Serve as the backup expert for the organization's loan servicing software; troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise across loan portfolios.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
A minimum of one year of experience in loan servicing is required.
Experience in commercial and/or residential real estate lending is preferred.
Familiarity with affordable housing and community development is desirable but not mandatory.
