Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Community Director to join our team at American Property Management. As a key member of our community management team, you will be responsible for connecting with prospects, working with residents, and contributing to the overall success of our 160-unit senior tax-credit community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct unit tours and showcase the community's amenities and services.
  • Assist in addressing resident concerns and facilitating healthy resident relations.
  • Research and forecast market trends to prepare for upcoming opportunities.
  • Prepare reports for the Community Director and contribute to running property operations.
  • Organize events for residents and ensure they meet APM's Quality Standards.
  • Manage the leasing and renewal process, handling transactions and keeping records accurate.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in multifamily/student housing, with 1+ year as an assistant manager.
  • LIHTC/Affordable Housing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal Fair Housing Laws, Landlord/Tenant Laws, and ADA laws preferred.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • On-site and/or Knock experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
