Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef in meal preparation, menu implementation, and overseeing food production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take on all Executive Chef duties during their absence.
  • Contribute to menu design and development.
  • Help maintain inventories in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Ensure adherence to food ordering, receiving, and inventory management protocols.
  • Prepare kitchen schedules to guarantee management presence during shifts for optimal customer service.
  • Conduct inspections of food storage and service areas to ensure compliance with safety, security, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures, including menu item preparation, safety protocols, and internal audit policies.
  • Address guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and urgency.
  • Keep accurate analytical records to support annual budgeting and planning.
  • Participate in required departmental manager meetings.
  • Oversee team members in food preparation, portioning, and garnishing to ensure adherence to cooking methods and presentation standards.
  • Prepare and serve meals during peak times and special events.
Supervisory Duties:

Responsible for executing supervisory tasks in line with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training kitchen staff; planning and directing work; evaluating performance; and addressing team member concerns.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required.
