NOC Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Continuously monitor and address minor network challenges on a 24/7 basis (shift work is essential).
Escalate issues to Tier-2 support when immediate solutions are not achievable.
Work collaboratively with the IT department on the design and upkeep of network systems.
Deliver technical support to end-users, troubleshoot, and resolve Tier-I network problems.
Execute automated diagnostic assessments on the connectivity between computers, routers, modems, and servers.
Conduct network and server security assessments and updates utilizing Rapid7, Nmap, and Nipper scanning tools (pre-configured scans).
Mentor junior IT personnel and offer remote technical assistance to on-site field technicians.
Stay updated on innovations in network systems and technologies.
Qualifications:
Must possess an active TS/SCI with Poly level clearance and the capability to uphold that clearance level.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or a focus in network engineering. Relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Prior experience or familiarity with Cisco or Aruba command line interface (configurations).
A minimum of two years' experience as a NOC technician, System Administrator, or a related role.
Understanding of network technologies, connectivity, protocols, and security measures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Outstanding organizational and time management capabilities.
Willingness to work 24/7 shifts; availability for on-call duties outside of regular hours to address urgent network issues.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
