Overview

Na Ali'i Consulting & Sales, LLC is seeking a Sustainability Engineer to enhance our Environmental Services division, delivering expert technical support to achieve our environmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

This role demands a seasoned management and administrative expert to oversee our environmental initiatives. The following outlines the essential functions of this position, though additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

  • Execute, manage, coordinate, monitor, and supervise various environmental projects.
  • Design, oversee, and conduct environmental evaluations, investigations, designs, remediation efforts, and the ongoing management of hazardous waste and military munitions sites.
  • Organize and manage outreach for environmental initiatives, including the preparation of community engagement materials and presentations, as well as delivering technical discussions to regulators and the public.
  • Handle project and contract management for environmental endeavors, ensuring compliance with project scopes, developing and managing timelines, and conducting financial oversight, including invoice preparation and status reporting.
  • Draft technical documentation, oversee quality control of technical reports, and manage the design and execution of investigations and remedial actions, including field sampling of soil, soil vapor, drinking water, and groundwater.
  • Maintain client relations and ensure regular communication with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Engage in business development activities, pursuing new environmental opportunities, and preparing cost and technical proposals for prospective contracts.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical teams, and subcontractors. Proficient in drafting project work plans, health and safety protocols, and environmental management plans. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. Proven leadership and team-building abilities are highly valued.

Security Clearance: This position necessitates access to military installations. Candidates must qualify for and obtain a base access pass and hold or be eligible for a security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in environmental engineering is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Certifications: Professional Engineer (P.E.) or other relevant certifications are preferred. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification with current 8-Hour Annual Refresher is preferred.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment (up to 30 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
