Your Role as the Lead Analyst, Customer Supply Chain Operations

Collaborate with partners to enhance supply chain efficiency while investigating and addressing order and shipment inconsistencies. Oversee a daily process to evaluate data for effective monitoring of customer performance metrics through detailed reporting and problem resolution. Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to fulfill customer requirements. This position demands a highly collaborative individual capable of managing customer interactions, as well as someone who is detail-oriented and analytical to achieve set objectives.

Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices

Work Arrangements: Hybrid, with expectations of 30% in-office presence

In this position, you will:

Examine Walmart EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) orders of finished goods daily to ensure accurate pricing, ordering constraints, and sourcing locations, thereby optimizing supply chain efficiencies for both Walmart and Smucker. Assess Walmart orders to address inventory availability challenges at the Smucker Distribution Center (DC) and enhance order fill rates. Analyze Walmart's DC inventory levels daily and work closely with the customer's purchasing team to create purchase orders as necessary to meet demand and reduce retail lost sales. Cultivate a robust partnership with Walmart by adhering to customer-driven initiatives while identifying opportunities for process improvements that benefit both organizations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively execute key sales initiatives by monitoring order trends to ensure accurate production planning and product distribution across the Smucker distribution network. Work collaboratively to evaluate the performance of third-party freight carriers and warehousing service providers to meet Walmart's supply chain objectives. Assist in reducing warehousing and transportation costs by monitoring order lead times while maintaining customer order cycle time goals to minimize inventory levels. Aid in researching and resolving shipment discrepancy claims using warehouse shipping and receiving documentation to enhance invoice accuracy and support invoice deduction resolution. Maintain customer supply chain scorecard data to track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and provide root cause analysis and corrective actions when objectives are not achieved. Manage a blend of daily responsibilities and special projects to support ongoing business activities and requirements. Perform other related tasks as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree A minimum of 2 years of relevant business experience in data analysis and complex problem-solving. A solid understanding of the supply chain process and experience with order management software. Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication (both written and verbal) with internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical abilities to develop and implement action plans for achieving customer objectives. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, and Formulas). Strong problem-solving capabilities necessary for managing complex business scenarios. Ability to organize information and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in time-sensitive situations based on customer needs. Capacity to demonstrate indirect leadership across various functional areas to achieve customer goals. Proficient computer skills and a quick learner of new systems.

Additional skills and experience that would contribute to success in this role:

A degree focused on Business or Supply Chain. Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. A career interest in the Supply Chain field. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau) is a plus.
