About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administrative Manager to join our team in Financial Operations. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for managing a program, administrative activity, or operational unit, and performing related work as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate the activities of the assigned functional area
  • Develop and administer the departmental budget
  • Monitor and analyze department revenue and expenses and report on trends
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the Coconino County Fair
  • Serve on the department's leadership team
  • Assist in grant preparation, submission, administration, tracking, and reporting
  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing programs and the delivery of services
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate employees and recommend disciplinary actions
  • Oversee daily administrative operations, which may include customer service
  • Develop, evaluate, revise, and implement financial and administrative policies and procedures
  • May serve as team leader or project manager
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and three years of progressively responsible management experience in the assigned or closely related field
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field and four years of progressively responsible management experience in the assigned or closely related field
  • Five years of progressively responsible management experience in the assigned or closely related field
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in finance or accounting and the ability to manage a moderately complex chart of accounts
  • Ability to develop and report financial plans
  • Ability to prepare and track trends and report data in a comprehensive, professional manner
  • Ability to manage and conduct high-level cash transactions
  • Ability to supervise, train, and professionally develop staff
  • Experience in customer service operations
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to be a thoughtful contributor to the Department's Management Team
  • Ability to thrive during periods of high customer service needs, administrative responsibilities, and business transactions
  • Ability to effectively utilize programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks
Working Conditions

This position is safety-sensitive and exempt from overtime. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance or accounting and the ability to manage a moderately complex chart of accounts.
