Director of Culinary Services

The Peaks Senior Living Community is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Culinary Services to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing daily schedules and processes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing exceptional food service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily schedules and processes to ensure efficient food service operations
  • Ensure all culinary personnel follow policies and procedures, and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Coordinate and provide hot and cold foods for events and activities, and create menus and recipes to meet resident preferences
  • Conduct regular staff training and development programs to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively
  • Manage inventory and replenishment of food and supplies, and prepare and plan the department's budget for food, equipment, and labor
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations and standards, and maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a culinary management role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • Proven track record of success in leading a culinary team and improving food service operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, and ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
