Essel is in search of a skilled Environmental Superintendent to oversee our environmental remediation initiatives. This position involves the management of various projects while ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. You will play a crucial role in guiding field teams and collaborating with upper management to define project objectives.
**Core Responsibilities:**
- Oversee and manage multiple environmental projects across different locations
- Coordinate and supervise a range of multidisciplinary activities
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety protocols
- Lead field teams, including equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors
- Maintain precise daily documentation of field activities
- Assist in developing cost estimates and negotiating terms with vendors and subcontractors
- Travel to various project locations as required
**Qualifications Required:**
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in leading environmental cleanup operations
- Completion of Supervisor Training
**Preferred Skills:**
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER training along with current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher certification
- Experience with USACE/Department of Defense (DoD) contracts
- OSHA 30-hour Training certification
