Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our dynamic team at Oaklea Security Services LLC. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Linux system administration, scripting, and automation, with hands-on experience in managing complex IT environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Linux System Administration:
    • Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related infrastructure.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply necessary updates and patches.
  • Scripting and Automation:
    • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
    • Create and manage Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automation of deployment processes.
  • Infrastructure Management:
    • Perform racking, stacking, and cabling of hardware in data centers.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Network and Hardware:
    • Administer and configure Cisco networking products including switches, routers, and firewalls.
    • Troubleshoot network issues and collaborate with networking teams for resolution.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and manage IAVA (Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert) patching and compliance measures.
    • Ensure systems adhere to security policies and best practices.
  • Containerization (Nice to Have):
    • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
    • Deploy and manage containerized applications in a Kubernetes environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience:
    • Ten (10) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Python and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in Ansible for automation and configuration management.
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking products and equipment.
    • Solid understanding of IAVA patching processes and security compliance.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL).
    • Familiarity with STE/STN (System Test Equipment/System Test Node) is advantageous.
