Pediatric Speech Therapist

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our Outpatient Rehabilitation team in a part-time capacity. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality speech therapy services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans to address their unique needs and goals.
- Deliver speech therapy services to patients, either through referral or direct to consumer, and assess their progress towards treatment goals.
- Ensure patient needs are met through access to care, patient experience, and quality of care metrics.
- Assist in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs.
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current speech pathologist license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within 2 years of hire.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in order to deal with a variety of patients and diagnoses.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain flexible with fluctuating schedules based on patient demand.
This role will be based in our Southshore Float location and will require working in a patient care area, interacting with patients, and potentially being exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue.
