About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our Outpatient Rehab team in Southshore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality speech therapy services to patients, evaluating their needs, and developing personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans to address their speech and language needs
  • Deliver speech therapy services to patients, either through referral or direct to consumer
  • Assess patient progress and make recommendations for treatment plan changes as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to documentation standards and policies
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current speech pathologist license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) within 2 years of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain flexible with fluctuating schedules based on patient demand
Work Environment

This role will be based in our Southshore location, working in a patient care area with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent will have an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases and hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment.
