Position Overview

The Speech Pathologist plays a crucial role in assessing and delivering therapeutic services to a diverse patient demographic, including neonates, infants, toddlers, school-aged children, adolescents, and adults facing communication and swallowing disorders. This position involves the planning, organization, and coordination of care for all assigned cases.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, the Speech Pathologist will:

  • Establish outcome goals and select appropriate skilled interventions.
  • Utilize agency and community resources effectively to promote patient and family independence in care.
  • Deliver therapy in the patient's residence, ensuring a supportive environment for recovery.
Job Qualifications
  • Mandatory: Speech-Language Pathology license issued by LBESPA / ASHA Certification
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience is necessary, with a preference for pediatric experience
  • Experience in acute and inpatient rehabilitation settings is advantageous
  • Experience with patients aged 0 - 21 years is essential
