Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive cost assessments for substantial ground-up projects, leveraging your expertise to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to analyze project specifications and develop thorough bid packages.
  • Examine blueprints, drawings, and other project documentation to pinpoint potential risks, costs, and challenges.
  • Foster robust relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive bids and dependable partnerships.
  • Deliver detailed estimates within stipulated deadlines, presenting findings to senior management for evaluation and approval.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilize your decade of experience in estimating to provide precise cost projections and timelines.
  • Implement your knowledge of industry standards and best practices to formulate reliable estimates for project budgets.
  • Conduct in-depth research on market trends, materials, and labor costs to remain informed about industry developments.
  • Employ specialized software and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in the estimating process.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, spreadsheets, and presentations to effectively convey project estimations.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Procore, Bluebeam, or OST.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills to identify and address estimating challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
