Essential Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:

  • Prior coaching experience in volleyball or a related sport is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of coaching principles and athlete development.
  • Exceptional character and professionalism are essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a culture of high standards and conduct aligned with Leadership Public Schools' values.
  • Oversee the inventory management of all sports equipment and uniforms.
  • Support athletes in reaching their full potential by understanding their unique needs.
  • Set safety protocols, team objectives, and performance goals.
  • Encourage appropriate behavior during team activities and camps.
  • Engage parents and guardians by fostering collaborative relationships regarding student performance.
  • Report any violations of rules to the appropriate authorities.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

  • Engagement in both indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Travel may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain mental focus and acuity.
  • Dexterity for operating a computer and other equipment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and auditory.
  • Visual capability to observe and interpret materials.
  • Capacity to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Physical strength for lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling as necessary.
