Essential Qualifications:
- NFHS Certification in First Aid, Health and Safety, and Coaching Fundamentals.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Educational Background: A minimum of a High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
- Prior coaching experience in volleyball or a related sport is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of coaching principles and athlete development.
- Exceptional character and professionalism are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a culture of high standards and conduct aligned with Leadership Public Schools' values.
- Oversee the inventory management of all sports equipment and uniforms.
- Support athletes in reaching their full potential by understanding their unique needs.
- Set safety protocols, team objectives, and performance goals.
- Encourage appropriate behavior during team activities and camps.
- Engage parents and guardians by fostering collaborative relationships regarding student performance.
- Report any violations of rules to the appropriate authorities.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
- Engagement in both indoor and outdoor activities.
- Travel may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maintain mental focus and acuity.
- Dexterity for operating a computer and other equipment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and auditory.
- Visual capability to observe and interpret materials.
- Capacity to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Physical strength for lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling as necessary.
