Patient Service Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a Patient Service Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient flow in a high-volume clinic setting.
- Cancel or reschedule appointments as needed, notifying patients and clinic personnel.
- Arrange for patients to receive financial counseling as required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Contribute to the efficiency of the front office by following established policies and procedures.
- May schedule outpatient appointments, testing, and hospital admissions, as well as obtain necessary authorizations and pre-certifications.
Requirements:
- At least two years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Proficiency in practice management systems, including insurance forms and appointment scheduling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with medical professionals and patients.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.
- Electronic Medical Record and/or Practice Software Proficiency required.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands, with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment:
The Patient Service Coordinator will work in a fast-paced oncology/hematology clinic environment, interacting with patients, staff, and management. The position requires minimal travel to office sites.
