Overview

Objective of the Insurance Policy Services Specialist II

To serve as a vital member of the Life Customer Service Team, delivering exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner. This role involves addressing inquiries and concerns from clients by providing account or policy details and resolving issues or discrepancies. Responsibilities include processing policy modifications and payments, maintaining reports, and assisting with various tasks. Additionally, support and assist Policy Services Representatives with billing inquiries, product-related questions, supervisor communications, meetings, and upholding departmental standards with precision while participating in training sessions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities of the Insurance Policy Services Specialist II

Deliver customer service by managing incoming calls from agents and policyholders. Respond to inquiries and concerns by supplying account or policy information and rectifying issues or errors. Handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.

Process new business applications and review policy submissions for completeness and accuracy. Manage policy changes and endorsements. Provide quotes as requested. Address questions regarding life and pre-need products. Reach out to field representatives or agents for any missing information. Troubleshoot and assist agents and policyholders efficiently and accurately.

Maintain workflow within the department. Issue policies and accurately record and deposit payments. Send appropriate copies of policies to policyholders, agents, or both. Ensure policy files are current and organized.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications for the Insurance Policy Services Specialist II

High school diploma is required.

A minimum of six months of experience in insurance processing and customer service is necessary.

Proficient computer skills and demonstrated keyboarding abilities are essential.

Experience or training in both verbal and written communication is required.

Strong communication and customer service skills are a must.

Data entry and keyboard proficiency are required.

Good judgment, a friendly demeanor, and a helpful attitude are important; strong mathematical skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

An Associate's degree is preferred, focusing on insurance, business administration, finance, or management.
