Overview
Objective of the Policy Services Associate II
The aim is to be a valuable member of the Life Customer Service Team, delivering exceptional customer service efficiently and professionally. Responsibilities include addressing inquiries and concerns from clients by providing account or policy details and resolving issues. The role involves processing policy modifications and payments, as well as maintaining reports and tasks. Additionally, support will be provided to Policy Services Representatives with billing inquiries, product-related questions, supervisor communications, meetings, ensuring departmental accuracy standards, and participating in training sessions.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the Policy Services Associate II
Deliver customer service by managing incoming calls from agents and policyholders. Respond to client inquiries and concerns by offering account or policy information and resolving issues or correcting inaccuracies. Handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
Process new business and evaluate policy applications for completeness and accuracy. Manage policy changes and endorsements. Provide quotes as requested. Address inquiries regarding life and preneed products. Communicate with field representatives and/or agents for any missing information. Assist agents and policyholders promptly and accurately.
Maintain workflow efficiency within the unit. Issue policies and ensure accurate recording and depositing of funds. Send appropriate policy copies to policyholders, agents, or both. Keep policy files current.
QualificationsQualifications for the Policy Services Associate II
Required
High school diploma is mandatory.
A minimum of six months of experience in insurance processing and customer service is required.
Proficient computer skills and demonstrated keyboarding abilities are essential.
Experience or training in both verbal and written communication is necessary.
Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
Data entry and keyboard proficiency are required.
Good judgment, a friendly demeanor, and a helpful attitude are important; strong math skills are a plus.
Preferred
An Associate's degree is preferred, focusing on insurance, business administration, finance, or management.
