Overview
Objective of the Policy Services Associate II
The goal is to be a vital contributor to the Life Customer Service Team, delivering exceptional service to clients in a timely and professional manner. This role involves addressing inquiries and concerns from clients by providing accurate account or policy information and resolving issues. Responsibilities include processing policy modifications and payments, as well as maintaining reports and tasks. Support will also be provided to Policy Services Representatives regarding billing inquiries, product information, supervisor communications, meetings, and adherence to departmental standards with precision.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the Policy Services Associate II
Deliver customer service by managing incoming calls from agents and policyholders. Respond to inquiries and concerns by supplying account or policy details and resolving issues or correcting inaccuracies. Handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
Process new business and assess policy applications for completeness and accuracy. Manage policy changes and endorsements, provide quotes as requested, and address questions related to life or preneed products. Communicate with field representatives and/or agents to obtain missing information. Troubleshoot and assist agents and policyholders promptly and accurately.
Maintain workflow efficiency within the unit. Issue policies and accurately record and deposit funds. Send appropriate copies of policies to policyholders, agents, or both. Ensure policy files are current and well-organized.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
High school diploma is mandatory.
A minimum of six months of experience in insurance processing and customer service is essential.
Proficient computer skills and demonstrated typing abilities are required.
Experience or training in both verbal and written communication is necessary.
Strong communication and customer service skills are imperative.
Data entry and typing skills are required.
Good judgment, a friendly demeanor, and a helpful attitude are essential; a strong aptitude for mathematics is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
An Associate's degree is preferred, focusing on insurance, business administration, finance, or management.
