Job Title: Recruitment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our team at the City of New York. As a Recruitment Specialist, you will play a critical role in securing the most qualified candidates for our organization.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all aspects of recruitment efforts, from posting job openings to selecting candidates.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Build relationships with academic institutions and other organizations to identify potential candidates.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System and ensure accurate and timely processing of applications.
  • Attend job fairs and other recruitment events to promote our organization and attract candidates.
  • Train and educate interviewers on best practices and ensure a fair and equitable hiring process.
  • Assist in the coordination of intern programs and other recruitment initiatives.
  • Prepare and present hiring statistics and recruitment reports to senior staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as human resources, business, or public administration.
  • Minimum of three years of recruitment experience, preferably in a municipal setting.
  • Strong knowledge of citywide electronic database systems, such as PRISE and NYCAPS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with recruitment software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
