Area Learning and Development Manager

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Learning and Development Manager to partner with our Division and Enterprise Ops, L&D Team, and Talent Management COE to support the implementation of our L&D Framework, Systems, and Tools across multiple sites and with multiple site leadership teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each site drives common learning systems, processes, and training standards through team members and leaders that support floor OJT training or training processes from their role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with site leadership and floor trainers to improve learning solutions and drive training efficiencies across roles.
- Administer the Cornerstone Learning Management System, building, tracking, and assigning local training.
- Ensure training documentation is stored, linked, and utilized as part of the training process in a systemic way.
- Implement trainer development processes and teams to ensure the best trainers are utilized during the training process.
- Partner with safety and quality leaders to ensure all required compliance trainings are tracked locally and refreshed as needed.
- Develop and implement effective orientation and onboarding processes to ensure a well-received employee experience at our sites.

- Influence and ability to partner and build relationships to drive effective training for operations teams.
- Decision-making skills with strong problem-solving abilities and supporting information to arrive at optimal decisions in an appropriate timeframe.
- Communication skills with the ability to work on the floor and in a heavy manufacturing world to ensure documentation and teaching of critical work processes.
- Learning and training experience with a preference for 3-5 years.
- Industry knowledge or experience in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office skills.
