Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to oversee benefit modifications for educational staff, particularly those involved in high school and special education. Additionally, this position supports the Payroll Manager in payroll administration.

The Coordinator is instrumental in fostering wellness initiatives within the educational environment and serves as a resource for employee inquiries regarding benefit offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual benefits enrollment process for educational staff, addressing employee inquiries effectively.
  • Facilitate wellness initiatives tailored for school personnel.
  • Respond to and follow up on employee inquiries related to benefits.
  • Maintain accurate benefit data within the Talent Management Software system for educational staff.
  • Generate benefit and payroll reports utilizing the Talent Management Software.
  • Reconcile invoices associated with employee benefits.
  • Process employee separations, including notifications regarding ongoing benefits eligibility and life insurance options.
  • Assist in the management of employee leave requests and disability claims.
  • Support employment verification processes.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to implement payroll adjustments.
  • Ensure confidentiality concerning salary and benefits information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager or senior financial officers.

Qualifications

Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree

Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in payroll software, Excel, and database management

Skills: Strong communication abilities, customer service orientation, and a commitment to confidentiality regarding payroll and benefits data.

Experience: Prior experience in payroll or benefits administration is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Must possess child abuse clearances.
