Job Summary

HSMC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Intervention Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to families with children birth to 3 years of age with developmental delays or at risk for developmental delays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Collaborate with families to develop and implement individualized intervention plans that promote the child's cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
  • Provide Home-Based Services: Provide home-based services to families across the catchment area, including screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, and home visits.
  • Collaborate with Community Providers: Collaborate with community providers, including child care providers, medical providers, social service agencies, and specialty providers serving children with autism or hearing/vision loss, to ensure continuity of services for families.
  • Provide Service Coordination: Provide service coordination to assigned caseload, including coordinating the development, monitoring, and review of the Individual Family Service Plan.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university and current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Allied Professional Health.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe, and Office365, including Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams, and ability to use computer-based technology, including a computer/laptop and cell phone.
