Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As an Early Intervention Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing home and community-based services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of clients' developmental status and provide direct services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
- Individualized Service Plans: Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with responsibility for identifying goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child's development.
- Progress Monitoring: Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate to ensure families' priorities, needs, culture, and values are prioritized.
- Family Support: Provide supportive professional assistance to families, facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development, and assist families to act as advocates for their child.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions.
- Experience: Experience with infants, toddlers, and families is preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development, ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners, commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services, excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
