Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Multidisciplinary Assessments: Participate in team assessments of clients' developmental status to identify areas of strength and need.
  • Provide Direct Services: Offer developmentally appropriate services and activities for children 0-3 and their families, promoting healthy development and well-being.
  • Develop Individualized Plans: Collaborate with families to create and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), setting goals and objectives for each child's development.
  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, assessments, and correspondence.
  • Provide Intervention Services: Offer individual and group intervention for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or at risk for delays, focusing on cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development.
  • Assess Family and Child Strengths: Identify family and child strengths, resources, concerns, and progress, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each client's needs.
  • Coordinate Services: Act as service coordinator for families, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Provide Supportive Assistance: Offer professional support to families, facilitating parent-child interactions and empowering parents to act as advocates for their child.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions.
  • Experience: Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries.
  • Computer Skills: Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
  • Transportation: Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural: Bilingual/Bicultural skills are a plus.
