Job Summary

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Social Worker to join our team as an Early Intervention Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families and children by providing home and community-based early intervention services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Multidisciplinary Assessments: Participate in team assessments of client developmental status to identify areas of strength and need.
  • Provide Direct Child Development Services: Offer developmentally appropriate services and activities for children 0-3 and their families, promoting healthy growth and development.
  • Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Collaborate with families to create and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), setting goals and objectives for child development.
  • Document Progress and Outcomes: Maintain accurate records of client progress, including progress notes, reports, and assessments.
  • Provide Individual and Group Intervention: Offer supportive professional assistance to families, facilitating parent-child interactions and empowering parents to act as advocates for their child.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work: Possess a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work or be a certified or licensed social worker (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC).
  • Experience with Infants and Toddlers: Have experience working with infants, toddlers, and families, preferably in an early intervention setting.
  • Knowledge of Family Systems and Early Childhood Development: Possess a strong understanding of family systems and early childhood development principles.
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational abilities.
