Job Summary

Thom Child and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Social Worker - Early Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of client's developmental status, identifying strengths and areas of need.
  • Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Collaborate with families to develop and implement individualized intervention plans, ensuring that services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Provide Direct Services: Provide direct child development services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families, promoting healthy development and family well-being.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and effective communication with families, colleagues, and community partners, ensuring that services are coordinated and family-centered.
  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, including progress notes, reports, and assessments.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work: A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work is required.
  • Experience with Infants and Toddlers: Experience working with infants and toddlers and their families is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Family Systems and Early Childhood Development: A strong understanding of family systems and early childhood development is essential.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required.
