Scrum Project Coordinator
  • Establish project scope, objectives, and goals. Identify stakeholders and set up communication pathways. Develop a high-level project timeline and backlog. Utilize and refine the existing IT Intake process and PMO Playbook. Employ Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for daily information tracking.
  • Collaborate with various IT Sections to facilitate the Agile transformation, including working agreements and training initiatives.
  • Prioritize and refine the backlog. Assist teams in breaking down user stories into actionable tasks. Collaborate with teams to estimate items using story points.
  • Work with teams to set sprint objectives and select backlog items for the forthcoming sprint. Define acceptance criteria for user stories. Assess the capacity of development teams for the sprint and evaluate LOE estimates from software developers.
  • Conduct daily standup meetings to review progress, identify blockers, and ensure documentation in Azure DevOps is updated daily. Escalate project issues to Government project leadership.
  • Engage with stakeholders and the development team to ensure there are no impediments.
  • Demonstrate completed user stories to stakeholders and facilitate retrospective meetings to reflect on the sprint and identify areas for improvement.
  • Document all modifications within existing systems, including releases, and communicate these to stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain portfolio reporting tools, such as OnePlan. Develop and sustain portfolio-level and project-level reporting using tools like OnePlan and Azure DevOps. Update and maintain project management data in Azure DevOps and other systems of record in the ITB. Define, develop, and provide monthly PMO Support Data and Metrics for Projects, Programs, and the Portfolio. Maintain a staffing plan of resource assignments for all Projects, Programs, and the Portfolio. Create executive summaries and dashboard reports. Provide support for Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC) meetings for projects.
  • Utilize and enhance the existing Risk Management escalation process within Azure DevOps. Monitor and address risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes, collaborate, and improve both processes and personal skillsets.
  • Adhere to and enhance the existing Project Closure process within one week of project deployment. Review goals and objectives to ensure they have been achieved.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing development projects in an Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and portfolio/project management tools such as Azure DevOps.
This position is ONSITE at our customer's location in Bethesda, MD. It is not a remote position.
