Position Summary:
We are seeking an associate-level professional to join our Competitive Intelligence team. The associate will play a crucial role in delivering timely news updates and assisting in the creation of client-focused materials, including research compilations and background documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile daily news summaries and provide real-time news notifications.
  • Support the team in developing client deliverables, such as research books and background reports.
  • Engage in copyediting and proofreading of research outputs and client materials.
  • Organize and maintain the firm's research library and project database.
  • Conduct bias assessments and vet individuals and organizations as necessary.
  • Assist in crafting proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Retrieve campaign finance documentation and analyze congressional voting records upon request.
  • Execute special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in communications or opposition research, including internships.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent research, writing, and editing capabilities.
  • Familiarity with research databases and methodologies (e.g., Lexis Advance, IQ Media, Critical Mention, FEC).
  • Experience with RNC-style formatting and AP Style.
  • Basic knowledge of local, regional, and national political landscapes and current events.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and collaborate effectively within a team.
