The Liao laboratory focuses on integrating cutting-edge techniques such as single-molecule imaging, genetic manipulation, and super-resolution microscopy. Our mission is to explore the intricate relationship between microtubule dynamics and neurological disorders, alongside the mechanisms governing the interplay between microtubules and actin during neuronal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced research in cellular and molecular neuroscience.
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication in reputable scientific journals.
  • Assist in drafting grant proposals to secure funding for ongoing projects.
  • Mentor and supervise graduate students in their research endeavors.
  • Manage budgetary aspects and procurement related to laboratory needs.

Qualifications

A PhD in Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Biophysics, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience, particularly in cytoskeletal research and quantitative imaging methodologies. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work autonomously, and a collaborative spirit are essential for success in this role.
