Survey Researcher

SC&A is seeking a Survey Researcher with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in survey research and analysis as well as a PhD from an accredited college or university. The candidate will provide survey development, implementation, analysis, reporting and related activities in support of Federal agency programs and initiatives. Duties include providing various approaches and methods, tools, technologies for survey development and implementation options, working with Federal management and staff as well as contract team to support the design and implementation of surveys, and providing explanations of methodologies, results, etc. The candidate may support other duties as assigned and as related to survey activities associated with the program. This position will be essential in tasks related to the National Household Survey.
The position is open as an office-based or telework position. The researcher must be willing to travel a minimum of two weeks at any given time to any duty location within the Program Regions or Headquarters.
Desired Skills and Capabilities
- Ability to design, conduct, assess and report on both large, complex survey efforts as well as smaller targeted survey efforts;
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills;
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with excellent people skills;
- Be flexible and effectively work in a fast-paced team environment with the ability to respond to sudden, unexpected tasks;
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and problem-solving;
- Thorough knowledge of Federal regulations, policies, and guidance related to Federal data collection efforts and be familiar with managing the processes for Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requirements for Federal survey and data collection approval. An understanding of Federal emergency management programs will be viewed favorably.

The expected salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000.
