POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a warm, organized, and personable individual to serve as the host/hostess, responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and supporting the team at Kalimotxo, ARRIVE Austin.

ABOUT KALIMOTXO

Kalimotxo is a Spanish dining establishment and cocktail bar within the Emmer & Rye Hospitality Group. It invites guests into a lively atmosphere where they can enjoy a quick drink or spend the evening with friends. We celebrate the essence of Basque social bar culture with a carefully curated Spanish wine selection, exceptional craft cocktails, and flowing porrones. Our team's hospitality is paramount, and we seek passionate, genuine individuals to care for our guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the welcoming face that greets all guests, enhancing their experience by adding your unique touch to the restaurant.
  • Ensure guests have an enjoyable time from arrival to departure.
  • Create a warm, inviting, and relaxed atmosphere that transforms first-time visitors into regular patrons.
  • Master our service protocols, product offerings, menu, and operational systems.
  • Assist guests over the phone with reservations and inquiries.
  • Manage our online reservation system along with in-person, phone, and email reservation requests in a friendly and trustworthy manner.
  • Take orders and deliver food and beverages as needed.
  • Multi-task and assume various roles as necessary to maintain smooth restaurant operations.
  • Collaborate with team members in a friendly and professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong phone etiquette.
  • Ability to follow directions meticulously.
  • Provide clear communication and instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • At least one year of experience as a Restaurant Host in a high-quality full-service or fast-casual environment.
